The INAUGURAL SALMON CYCLING CLASSIC is only a week away!!!! Fantastic
FONDO - on edge of Portland Metro area (so it is close to a lot of you!!!),
no other OBRA events going on in the area, SUPER dinner by Wilsonville
Catering (Cedar Plank Salmon Dinner for those registered by July 15 -
chicken breast is the alternative and what is available to those
registering after the 15 -- have to know how many salmon to go out and
catch!!. WILL BE ACCEPTING DAY -OF REGISTRATIONS BY CHECK OR CASH.
Challenging but absolutely beautiful route - scenic vistas, fancy country
estates, and the 80K has over 5000 feet of elevation and four short
stretches of hard pack gravel. 60K and a 50K routes are available for
those who don't want the gravel. EVENT SUPPORTS THE NEW BICYCLE-PEDESTRIAN
BRIDGE OVER THE WILLAMETTE RIVER IN WILSONVILLE WHICH IS CURRENTLY BEING
PLANNED WITH A $1.5 MILLION FEDERAL GRANT. Riders also get an inaugural
crushed glass medallion.
