Howdy!
I got a couple emails from folks asking why this email was sent out after
the race started. In actuality, I sent this email out when I made the call
at 12:30pm yesterday (which can be seen here:

the email did not reach people's inboxes till after 7pm.
I contacted OBRA about emails being delayed a few weeks ago to see if there
were any options for whitelisting my email address, but was told that is
out of their control.
In 8 years of running either Monday or Tuesday PIR, I haven't had to cancel
any night. Never an easy call and we apologize to anyone that was
inconvenienced by showing up to locked gates. We made the announcements via
email and social media (Facebook and Instagram) as well and would people
following us on those channels to get the most up to date information
(Links in my handle below).
Lastly, there were some suggestions that we bump the series out another
week as a result of the cancellation, but due to a track conflict with the
big Indy car race coming to PIR (probably the largest event at PIR in many
years) we are not able to go any later in the season.
Thanks for the understanding our appreciation for rider's safety and look
forward to seeing folks out next week for the last race of the season.
