Greetings!
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Jim Fischer, and I am acting as
the OBRA mountain bike rep. for the 2000 season. I am currently working with
Candi Murray and Randy Dreiling to get permanent number plates created and
distributed ASAP. We are looking at the same type of plate as was used for the
1999 Power Bar Series last season. The artwork is almost complete, and the
plates take three weeks or so for printing. With mailing, misc. shipping and
handling etc., I doubt people will see plates before early March. I realize the
first mountain bike race of the season is April 2nd. If plates are not shipped
within a reasonable window of time before that race, the plates will be handed
out at the race and the remainder mailed immediately after the race.
If people have questions regarding mountain bike issues, please direct them to
me. I am volunteering my time in order to reduce the amount of work done by
Candi, Mike and the OBRA folks, in order to make mountain bike competition a
welcome part of OBRA.
Any issues, questions and concerns you have, please feel free to send them to
me.
Regards,
Jim Fischer 541-715-6880 Work, 541-754-3752 Home

Subject: OBRA Numbers
Greetings on this sunny day!
Have members been receiving OBRA numbers in the last couple of weeks? I
ask because I sent my application in a few weeks ago, and fear it
might've gotten lost in the mail...I may need to send it in again!
I trust you've been enjoying this mild winter for riding!
