Don't know if it's too late, but that route is all pavment. I live
in Philomath, ridden those roads many times. Tampico *used* to have
gravel per the earlier comment, but it's all paved now (maybe 2017,
but I missed it until this month :)�� - just rode it yesterday.
Maxfield Creek is paved as well, albeit parts with the usual Benton
County boulder-sized chip seal... Only iffy parts for me personally
are a couple short stretches along 20 with thin shoulders, and
sometimes you'll get cars using 223 as a speedway. But it's a pretty
ride otherwise, little traffic except for 20...

I think it���s all paved (which is what I want). I don���t mind
some bits of highway or bike path, just looking not to die out
there for the most part.
