LAST BUT NOT LEAST. This race is promoted by the women masters of OBRA. We
have worked earnestly to prepare for this race since October 2000. We tried
to meet consistently at Bridgeport every 2 weeks. What we all learned in
this endeavor is that we are the Mothers and Grandmothers that keep our
households going. We were constantly interrupted by choir concerts, kid's
birthdays, wedding anniversaries, counseling apts., child plays, track meets
etc. The reason why Masters Women is the minority category is WE are taking
care of our families. Our hearts are in the right place! Our sincere
sympathy goes out to Darlene Maddux whose grandmother just passed away.
