These metal ones look real nice, and while the idea of spending $50 on
a new front derailler that doesn't move (like many that you can freeze
up) - The third eye is still pretty great...esp for $10.

To each their own, but plastic being hit by my chain sounds much more
appealing than metal-on-metal contact.
