Oregon Bicycle Racing Association (OBRA) is now providing scholarships to
development camp:

OBRA is giving 8 riders partial fee support available for camp (contact
Kenji Sugahara kenji@obra.org OBRA Executive Director). The financial
support is for the USA Cycling 2011 Northwest Regional Development Camp ­
July 24-29, 2010 - Forest Grove, Oregon. Open to any rider age 14-22
(chronological age/not racing age) who resides in the state of Oregon
(Vancouver, WA residents please inquire). All riders need to be have current
USA Cycling license.

The camp will consist of unique opportunities for younger riders to learn
the fundamentals of bike racing. Basic bike and training skills, nutrition,
basic bike mechanics, and nutrition will be amongst the instruction topics.
There will be several presentations that will give the riders a well-rounded
view of bicycle racing, like racing as a junior/U23 internationally, track
racing and other disciplines of the sport.

The 8 riders will be selected by the OBRA Scholarship Committee. There are
discounts if you register before certain dates and if you register with
other teammates. See registration details.

Steps to apply for the OBRA partial fee support for the camp:
Step #1: email kenji@obra.org with a subject line of: OBRA Scholarship. In
a very clearly and concisely written email include contact information phone
and address, current GPA if in school, name of school and any other specific
details.

Step #2: You will be contacted by May 1, 2011 regarding if you were
selected.

Step #3: You will need to register through www.usacycling.org. You will
need to email confirmation/receipt to kenji@obra.org that you have
registered before your scholarship money is sent.
