***Montinore Road Circuit Race Updates*

Montinore Estate
Montinore has graciously opened their doors to our community. In turn,
please show your appreciation for this NEW VENUE by acting in accordance
with OBRA Rules of Conduct and buying some vino.

Registration & Sign in
*Online pre-registration *will be open until 6 pm Friday, May 4. *Race day
registration* and sign-in will be at the Montinore Tasting Room (
http://g.co/maps/yyyb3). 3663 Southwest Dilley Road, Forest Grove, OR

357-4313. Remember, even if you have pre-registered you must still sign in
for your race--pre-registered riders should seek the "Pre-registration"
line.

Parking
On-site parking is available in a large field in front of the winery.
Overflow parking as needed will be provided on access roads behind the
winery. Signage and flaggers will be on hand to direct traffic. Please do
not park in the tasting room parking lot.

Race Staging
Races will stage at the vertical START sign located on the main entry road
near the tasting room parking lot. Races will proceed neutral for
approximately 100 meters until the right turn onto Hiatt Road.

The Course
See the Course Map at http://g.co/maps/47bwq.* Please note that riders will
have both sides of the climb on Plumlee Rd*. Marshals will close the road
as fields enter the climb (immediately after the right turn from Carpenter
Creek Road). Please take caution on the descent of Plumlee Rd. Though
traffic will be controlled, take my word for it - this race will not be won
on the descent! Take corners cautiously!!

STRAVA QOM/KOM Competition (p/b Upper Echelon Fitness)
$100 goes to the winner of the KOM and the QOM (the fastest time for the
Plumlee Rd Climbing Segment). Instructions for entering follow. Additional
details may follow as necessary (this is the first time we've done this,
your patience is appreciated).

1. Create a STRAVA Account if you do not have one. Go to
http://www.strava.com/.
2. Use your Garmin or iPhone with STRAVA app during the race to record
your ride.
3. Upload the ride data to your account BY 10pm ON MAY 6TH. Results
tabulated for awards at that time.
4. STRAVA will automatically tell you your result for this climb
(segment).
5. The competition will be for the Plumlee Road Climb:
http://app.strava.com/runs/1765417#28333520. As of 4/29/12 the record
is 2:51 by Kolben Preblee for male and 4:54 by Amanda Gilchrist for female.
This is open to all categories.

Weather
Last, but never least, the weather for Sunday is expected to be nice -
puffy clouds partially concealing blue sky and sun, warming to 64 degrees
by mid-day, and 10% chance of a refreshing spring mist.
