Anyone know if the Rainier Road Race is going to happen? It's on the OBRA cal for June 16th.

I also had a few questions about the finish climb, so here is the Strava
segment for the approximate location of the finish climb:

(Zero points for beating the time of a certain race director...)

What Candi said! :)

We are one week away, and we are getting ready for a great race this
Sunday. The final climb will be enough to open up the fields coming to the
finish, should be a lot of fun.

We still have openings for volunteers, sign up here and help put on a great
race:

Hey everyone

We are rapidly approaching the big day for the Laurelhurst Dentistry Road Race in beautiful Rainier! This year the womens categories will be the womens state road race championships. We are using the same course as last years Rainier Road Race, but in the opposite direction, giving us a great finish back towards the high school.

You want prizes? Oh, we got prizes. We have a great list of sponsors who are just begging to give YOU, yes YOU, some of their money and excellent products, including:

Laurelhurst Dentistry
Upper Echelon Fitness and Rehabilitation
Laurelwood Brewing
Jenn Levo Graphic Design
PDW
CyclePath
Missionary Chocolates
Crank
Ruckus Composites

We have cash payouts for the top 10 in senior men and women, product for all other categories, and championship medals for the womens races eligible for the state championship.

We are making a small change to the novice womens race this year to open it up to more women the requirements for entering the novice race are:

-Been racing for less than a year (any discipline)

-Never finished in the top 3 of a race

-Never received an upgrade

Race times and other information are up at:

http://upperechelonfitness.com/about/rainier-road-race/

We also need volunteers! Volunteer and you race for free. The available slots and signup information is all at:

Online registration is up on the OBRA site. We hope to see you there!

There is a road race in Rainier Oregon this Sunday. It is the state
championship for women. I have spoken to some women that were excited that
there was a separate Senior Women and Cat 3 Women category. As always in
these kinds of events, if the number of registrants do not warrant it, then
categories will be combined.

If this is important to you than please pre-register so that we can plan
the staffing for the event.
