Ninkrossi

Back in my day......they were all easier!
Ninkrossi is hard, but seemed pretty easy Saturday. Maybe the Coffee? Winter Cross is a much harder race for me than Ninkrossi. Probaby my four hardest races ever were (not in order), 1) PIR infield when we had to run that huge section on the West and East ends. 2) Psycho Cross when Sal sent us out into the farm field on the South side of present course when it was a mudfest and we had to run about a zillion yards before we could re-mount to fight our way out of said field (thanks Sal). 3) Rainier HS the year we had so much mud we could not ride up that slight hill in the woods on the far South side of the course. That was about as cruel as Cross can be. 4) Flying M Crusade mudfest with the retarded double whammy run-up.
But of course the hardest course is the next one up!

That course is hard no matter the conditions.

Poll question: is Ninkrossi the hardest OBRA CX course? Current or past? Discuss. Bonus points awarded for use of cliches such as "back in my day" or "ya know, in Europe..."

Ah. The “Refresher Course”. I have to say I loved Ninkrossi last year in the slippery / snotty mud, but today was super sweet. No dust, but just great conditions for racing with regard to surfaces and temps.
As usual David and Crew did a fantastic job on the course, Sponsors kept the Ninkrossi boat afloat, OBRA crew took good care of us and the volunteers did so much to make it happen. Off to High School tomorrow!
Lets all be nice to the Barlow Bruins.

Of course, the free beer at the end also does a lot for confidence.
This IS  a great course.  It's like Rainer's unruly younger brother.   And riding through the "N" is just downright fun.

I have not missed one of these.  This was the best course
yet!  The small changes from past years made for more fun on the
circuit.
Conditions like today supply good skill building for all the
racers.  It is races like these where people learn they CAN ride and
improve their skills on wet, tricky surfaces.  It does wonders for
confidence.  Pat on the back to all who felt they made progress on their
racing skills!
During our race (11:30) the course started changing from super slippery to
more tacky...............looked like pretty good conditions for the A’s.  I
assume the ladies  /  B –SS race caught more rain and slippery
conditions.
This place has the potential to host not just Nats, but maybe even
Worlds.  If they can host the Nats, for Motocross, you know they have the
infrastructure.
Good job Zone 5 and everyone who helped make it happen.
Barlow might just be Epic.  Get your beauty rest.
