I've drilled mine out and have them down to 0.22g each. Additionally, I've chamfered
the edges of the drilled holes to make the holes more aero. That and my modest speed
across the line should make my 40th place finish easier to score..... :)

The average weight of OBRA supplied safety pins is 0.38 grams each. So
don't let the extra weight concern you too much!
In fact, flapping numbers is aerodynamic turbulence - costing you speed.
Use lots of pins. Not because someone nagged you - because it's a racing
advantage!
