You are absolutely correct. The officials should have made efforts sooner.
However, it is very hard to anticipate the slowing and accelerating packs
and determine when they will finish. We will try and adjust the laps so
that it does not happen again.
Both groups need to review the neutralizing and overtaking of riders.
I have asked Jim and Jeff to contact the track and see what kind of patch
could be done to that crack.

Candy, I was 10th on the real last lap going across the line and the lap
before someone rang the bell for 1 to go so myself and the other 9 ahead of
me went for it. I not blaming anyone for the bad crash on the second last
lap but the change in the laps was needed long before it did. The grove in
the straght has been the worst for riders and for the last 20+ years that I
have riden out at P.I.R you need to stay away from as well as riders not
changing there line in the last 200m.

From the lat two weeks of riding at P.I.R the riders need to understand the
rules of going netural when the pack is passing.
