503-246-0330. Someone is usually there two hours before the race starts.
I know that Mike Murray is looking into a way to put a webcam up.

Subject: Re: [OBRA Chat] Alpenrose Status
You know, this raises an interesting question; maybe somebody has an idea:
Where I live, in Salem, the weather patterns are often different from in
Portland, and often I've arrived at Alpenrose to find racing canceled
because of rain--or stayed home THINKING it would be canceled, only to find
out later that racing was on as usual. Since the trip involves 45 miles each
way in rush-hour traffic, I don't make it lightly. But I suspect the
guessing-game is still a major annoyance even for racers who live in
Portland proper.
Is there some reliable way to report whether or not racing is going to be
on, say up to an hour or so before the start time? Maybe an OBRA member who
works at the dairy and who could post an online notice? Or a telephone
number? or a "track cam" or moisture-indicator or something connected to a
website?
I'm not a techy, or a very good tracky, but it would seem that in this
digital age, and with the high cost of gas, there would be an easy way of
providing a service like this.
