I am also hesitant to comment at all right now but I am compelled on
one specific
point to provide my recollection of the what the Deputy said. Like
Thane, I was
upset about some of the things the Deputy said but I think it takes
things out
of context to say that he said that no cyclists stopped when several
of us did.
I recall him saying that all of the witnesses they interviewed said
that a bike turned
left off highway 126. An oncoming car slowed down and a vehicle
behind that
vehicle ran into the slowing vehicle causing both to go off the
highway. He did say
that the witnesses said that none of the cyclists stopped and
continued on the route.
But I believe he was referring to the cyclist or cyclists that the
witnesses apparently
saw at the intersection at the time of the accident, not those of us
who showed up
minutes later.
