Mike,
All of us riding are so fortunate that you have the passion needed to make races like the TOE take place. Your drive and support of your family and friends (and that support is so huge it is another whole posting) is what gives us the opportunity to race and the sponsors to show their support with the high quality access, prizes and swag.
I want to let everyone know that it was an honor to be riding that course with them, even if they left me in the dust. We all traveled the same path. The ride was tough, beautiful, super exciting and fast. The group of riders that traveled in the same basic time zone that I was in were all working hard, but having a good time out there. We could not have asked for a better prime time of wild iris blooms and as was expected the trail conditions were perfect. There are experiences in life (even with the leftover soreness) that are just so sweet that they really cannot be fully explained. TOE was one. Thanks for giving so many the chance to have these experiences.
And Hey! IT REALLY MAKES SHORT TRACK SEEM "SHORT"

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Thanks from The TOE 50

Hey,

Thanks to all of the 150 that came out to the 4th Test Of Endurance 50.

Team S and M "The Old Guard" Led by Erik Tonkin in 3:47 took back the title from Team S and M " The Young Guns " led by Sean Babcock in 3:48. The Young Guns are pissed and are planning their revenge in 2009.

Overall Rachal Bagley took the womens race in under 6 hrs and a special Note---Tim jaynes from Pistis---14 years old in 5:47 :51-----the youngest rider ever to finish the TOE.
Riders climbed for just under 8000 ft and with Blue sky's above it made for a great day.

Special Thanks Starker Forest (7000 acres of mtb recreation), Peak Sports, Clif Bar for the awesome shot Blocks, Yakima for the huge racks, and Thule for a full rack systems as well. Specialized gave away a large Stumpjumper 29er frame and to Deschutes Brewery for the great Beer and swag.

results will be posted on Tuesday.

Thanks again everyone for keeping my addiction to cycling going.
2009 Test of Endurance 50 Sunday June 21st
