beer and alcohol policy at PIR

Thanks for the heads up Kris. Fellow racers and friends. Please help Kris
meet their policy. I guess if we want beer we can buy it from the vendor.
It may not be perfect, but it is much better than not having this great, in
town venue for short track mountain bike racing. You know if Kris got that
call from the PIR manager, they mean business and are going to keep an eye
on the event. Lets get out there and have some fun racing. We are in the
6th season for the series. Lets keep it going many more years to come. In
doing this, we not only fulfill their rule requirements, but support PIR in
general so it continues to exist for events like this instead of becoming a
subdivision (think VanPort of the 21st century)! Just my two cents.

A quick reminder to everyone that there is an explicit rule at PIR (posted at the main entrance) that prohibits people to bring in alcoholic beverages into the venue.

Yesterday, I received a call from the PIR manager asking me to communicate and enforce a zero-tolerance policy on that rule. So from here on out, please don't bring any beer or other alcoholic beverages to PIR. And please help us ensure that everyone abides by that rule.

For all clarity: the PIR food stand will be open on Mondays throughout the rest of the series and people will be able to buy beer from them (besides soda, ice cream, hot food and snacks).

Thanks!
