2019 Oregon Womens Prestige Series

The goal of the series is to facilitate fun, high quality racing experiences for women of all levels statewide. A Castelli race jersey will be awarded to each of the series leaders throughout the duration of the series that should be worn at the subsequent OWPS race.

Goals

Expand participation by providing competition for teams ​and individuals ­ Raise awareness of women’s racing as a fun, safe and healthy activity ­ Provide focus races on the calendar for women and women’s teams to train and plan for ­ Provide resources for promoters to increase the level of support and prizes for women’s categories

10th - 6

11th - 5

12th - 4

15th - 1 

 

 

Scoring is best 5 out of 6 races.

To earn Prestige Series points at the Oregon Gran Fondo, all Prestige racers must sign up for the Medio distance (71 miles) and make sure to note at registration that you are participating in the Prestige. (There is a question on the registration dialogue for it.)

 

 

Categories based on OBRA Categories*

Senior Women: Pro/Cat 1/2 Series, Cat 3 Series, Cat 4/5 Series

*You must hold an OBRA license or have a one­day license for each of these races in order to qualify for the series

To earn points in any race in the series, participants must be registered for the main Cat 1/2, Cat 3 or Cat 4/5 events. Points from juniors or masters races in the same category do not apply.

 

 

 

 

Series Prizes

* Cash prizes for top 3 Cat 1/2 racers

* Merchandise for top 3 Cat 3 and Cat 4 racers

* 90 minute Wenzel Coaching consultation for racer with the most points (all categories combined)
