I built this bike about 4.5 years ago as a first road bike to train and commute on.
It has seen nearly 1,000 miles since then, and is still riding very well.
It does have some future needs, but it can be ridden comfortably for 30-60 mile rides now, shifts well, brakes well, climbs well, and would make a great first road bike or transition bike for someone looking to start riding more.
It has Shimano 105 shifter/brake levers, a 105 front derailleur, a Dura Ace rear derailleur, SRAM Rival cranks and brakes, and Mavic CXP-22 wheels. It has a 1" headtube, and therefore is equipped with a threaded headset and quill stem. I believe the stem length is around 90-100mm.
It will need new chainrings, cassette, and chain within the next 250 miles or so, and cables and housing around that same time.
I could do all of this stuff prior to selling it, but that would necessitate asking more for it, and I think it's best value lies in it's being ready to ride now and not needing a lot of work to keep going as a beginner bike.
It would be ideal for the new owner to purchase parts one at a time over the next several months, used or on clearance sales, and then overhaul the bike in the spring.
I am asking $300 as is, with 25c Maxxis ReFuse tires, a short Thomson stem, a Sell Italia Shiver saddle, and 3T alloy bars.
