Racers,
This announcement is tough to make, but it's in the interest of safety for
all racers, staff, and officials.

We have been watching the weather forecasts since Sunday and it appears
that there is a high potential for strong sustained winds and even higher
gusts to hit in the Willamette valley during the race on Saturday. With
this information we have made the decision to forgo the event on Saturday
in the spirit of safety and *reschedule* on a future date.

After talking with the City of Independence, the OBRA ED and the lead
official, the best possible reschedule scenario will be as follows:

- push *Cherry Pie RR* to Saturday *May 12th* (already scheduled as
Onehorse RR).
- push *Onehorse RR* to Saturday *May 26th*. This is currently open on
the OBRA and WSBA calendars.

We understand that this decision may not work for everyone. Please be
patient with us as we shuffle the dates and work with the municipalities
and permits on this change.
