FYI, Historic Columbia River Hwy will be closed to all users during the
day again tomorrow. After Tuesday, flaggers will be able to direct people

*Historic Highway closed for maintenance Tuesday*
*Closure takes place east of the Vista House to Latourell Falls from 7 a.m.
to 3:30 p.m.*
* Flaggers will direct travelers on HCRH for next several weeks*
ODOT crews will close one mile of the Historic Columbia River Highway in
both directions between Vista House and Latourell Falls on Tuesday, April 8
from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
During the closure, crews will perform maintenance work in the ditches.
Vista House will remain open during the closure. Travelers may detour
around the closure using Interstate 84 to access the Historic Highway from
I-84 eastbound at Exit 28.
Access west of the Vista House will remain open. Due to the amount of
moving equipment, people biking cannot safely travel through the work zone.
ODOT recommends people biking to avoid the area during this work and seek
an alternate route
Flaggers will direct travelers for the next several weeks along the HCRH
Mondays through Thursdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. as ditch maintenance
continues. The HCRH will be open to all users Thursday evenings to Monday
mornings to avoid impacts during times when auto and bike traffic is
heaviest.
ODOT crews have closed the HCRCH for two days from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on
Friday, April 4 and Monday, April 7. Ditch maintenance may continue until
mid-May 2014.
