Mean while at the Hall of Cyclocross.....
Scott just got out of a meeting with Batman and Robin only to go to check
on his email to find a ton of responses to his posting about the baby
Squirrel named Philip. "OMG" thought Scott as he reads them all. Then, all
of a sudden his phone starts to blow up with text messages. "Ill take him",
"I love them" etc.. Apparently Portland "Loves Squirrels". So now, this
has turned from rescue mission into an interview process for the adoption
of this little guy. Still hoping that mom will come and get her son Scott
and Inge has strapped his crate that morning (w/ bedding but no cable TV)
to the tree that he fell from. After pouring through all of the emails
Scott found a winner! It turns out that just down the street from our two
newly weds there is a person for the job. Its called the Xavier School for
Squirrels, (XSS). Philip now has a new home and Scott & Inge has
visitation rights. I have not disclosed the name or address of this safe
house because the cats that hang out and chase my laser pointer in the am
might read this email and find Philip.
