first off, we'd like to thank everyone for helping start the sixth year off proper! i couldn't ask for a cooler crowd to hang out in stretchy pants with. the course crew and i were running behind and didn't get to race, but we got tons of good feedback and high fives. number/hoodie pickup is always a bit daunting the first night, but like every good date, patience is key.

...on that note, sorry if we had to IOU a few hoodies. the printer has them in the que, and joe has promised to offer 24hr snuggle service to anyone left cold by sweatshirtlessness until they arrive in a week or two.

GIRL TALK was a hit so the portand bicycle studio team will be offering up legit beginner advice and night moves once again between 5pm and the ladies beginner race. sorry dudes, BRO TALK not allowed.

numbers are being crunched for the castelli team competition, the computers couldn't seem to come up with solid results so dear candi is calculating them by abacus. don't forget, STAMPEDE counts... so throw your wacky pedaling thing in the car and run what you brung!

set the young'ns loose at the speedvagen kids cross, have a free stumptown cold brew, rip around the dairy on your bike, maybe win something, then enjoy a rockin' dinner from the vegan caterer. sounds better than any blind date i've ever been on. WAY better than the one where i tracked dog poop all through a lady's house, or the one where i bit into a jalepeno and it squirted my date in the eye. way, way better. sigh.
