Tents and high winds

Quote from the owner's manual that came with my expensive, new tent:
"Always stake or weigh down your shelter. Do not use in any potentially
windy or rainy weather."
"Wind and rain can damage the shelter and may also result in injury to you
or others."
...I'm just sayin'.

Thanks Scott! I had wondered about the stakes you use. It's great to see
the community sharing info like this. It's one of the many things I've come
to love about cross.

Not to take away from your product endorsement, but sometimes you can get
similar dog tethers at the dollar store. In a stiff wind, your canopy beams
may break or the top may tear or blow away.

Hi OBRA land
I would like to share with you why my tents have not blown away. The Vortex ground anchor is Awesome and I wrote a review on them a while back and once you put them in the ground you can enjoy your day and not have to worry about your expensive tent. they are about $10.00 each and are the equal to like 400 lbs of pressure each! Here is the review I wrote on them. You can get them at home depot. If you do go and get some nylon straps and you are good to go. come by my tent and Ill show them to you..
