If you like riding out to Larch Mountain, Multnomah Falls, Sauvie Island,
or on west hills routes like Skyline, Corbett, or Germantown, *you should
probably attend one of Multnomah County’s upcoming open houses*. The
county, which controls parts of these rural roads, is updating their
Comprehensive Plan and seeking input from property owners, residents,
business owners, and interested parties. While not the only focus,
*transportation
issues will be central to the plan* and people who bike on county roads are
definitely interested parties.

If road biking isn’t your thing and you prefer off-street paths, *this is
also a good opportunity to speak up in support of the Westside Trail
*.
The trail is one of the BTA’s high-priority Blueprint for World Class
Bicycling projects and passes through parts of unincorporated Multnomah
County on its way from King City to the St. John’s Bridge (25 miles!).

Bottom line: if you have suggestions for ways to improve bicycling in the
areas highlighted above, attend an upcoming open house and weigh in! If you
can’t attend an open house, *take an online survey here
*.
