Before we're heading into the weekend, I like to pass along a couple updates about the upcoming Kruger's Crossing CX Classic (Sunday Nov 23 - http://www.portlandracing.com/cx).

1) Weekly pre-reg raffle: still time to get your name entered for this week's raffle!
The first two winners of our weekly raffle are Marc Heisterkamp - who will get a gift certificate for a free Chris King bottom bracket or headset of choice - and Eric Hunter - winner of a $150 Showers Pass gift certificate.
If you haven't pre-registered yet, you still have until end-of-day today to get your name entered in the raffle of our next two pre-reg prizes: a set of Specialized Roubaix tires and a Gevenalle rear derailleur!

Besides a chance to win some cool prizes, all pre-registered riders will receive a priority call-up at the start of their race (last year we had more than 700 racers at Kruger's, so if you race one of the larger categories, it definitely pays to pre-register early!).

2) Course conditions & weather forecast
On Wednesday, I made a trip to Kruger's Farm to check out things and everything looks in great shape (check out some of the pictures I took http://tinyurl.com/kl2ramk). Right now, it looks like the driest course in years, mostly hard-packed with a couple of small puddles, and everything is 100% rideable. The latest weather forecast is calling for dry, cold and sunny weather through Tuesday, but after that we should get back to less wintery temperatures and there might even be some rain to keep things real. Either way, we'll do our best to make it a killer course!

3) Volunteers: still need more help on Sunday!
While we have all volunteer slots filled for course set-up on Saturday, we are still in dire need of some extra hands on Sunday to help with registration, course marshaling, parking, and the kids races. If you like to lend a hand and get a free race entry (for yourself or a friend) just shoot me an email at kris@portlandracing.com.
