strava privacy feature

I've always turned my unit off/on at least 1 block from home or trimmed
routes if I mess up. A little work sometimes, but worth it to me.
Unfortunately there are lots of ways to find me.

This is not just a strava issue. ALL Social GPS sites have this issue.
The only difference is strava
is the biggest. It certainly ISNT the best IMO, but it is the most well
known.

I got the idea of not using Strava after Strava started opening up their maps to EVERYONE:

If I was a thief, this is exactly how I would locate homes with high end bikes.

You’ve got a few options, either don’t use Strava, create as large of privacy zones as possible, or turn it off a block or so before where you store the bikes.

I turned mine off a bit ago and eventually all my start and fin locations were masked. If anything shoot a email to strava.

Sorry dude, and best.

I can honestly say I have never used it. Then again, most of my rides
take off
from either 'work' or from a race venue.

After recently losing bicyles from the garage I turned on the Strava privacy feature that creates a safe zone around an address. Unfortunatly the feature hasn't turned on for past rides or the ride I did yesterday. Anyone else have experience with the Strava privacy feature? Any experience working with Strava to get functionality addressed?

Thanks for the guidance.
