Hello OBRA et al:

We appreciate the response from the community thus far as regards our volunteer spots! We still have a few more to go, so if you know of someone who could help out, you will race for free and they will have our tremendous gratitude. As of today we think that we will proceeding with all of our standard fields this Saturday.

A few items for Bulletin #1:

1) Some folks have reported difficulty linking to the PayPal site for preregistration payments...access via kingsvalley.weebly.com
2) While you are there, we have posted the complete prize list for your perusal.
3) Here is a shot of the highly coveted Kings Valley Crown: http://kingsvalley.weebly.com/uploads/1/0/2/5/102591282/img_0657.jpg
4) The engraved vase that we award to the Womens winner doesnt photo that well until its loaded with flowers, so yall will have to see that on Saturday.
5) We are in between beer sponsors this year, but dont fret, we have rustled up some excellent Belgian beer for our first lap primes.

Advance weather forecast for Saturday is warmish with a chance of rain, but generally excellent bike racing weather.

See yall on Saturday!

Scott and Cameron.

Greetings OBRA members:

Spring is in the air, daylight savings time has freed us all to train after work without lights, we start crabbing about not being able to watch Milan San Remo on TV....that means the Second Saturday in April and the nearly world famous Kings Valley Road Race is coming up quickly on April 9th. Cameron and I have been hard at work, as usual to make the 19th annual edition of the race just as great as the previous 18.

We are always in need of support drivers for the race. If you are not racing that day, or perhaps you are and you have a friend, family member, or adoring fan who will be at the race and could drive a vehicle for us, please consider it. We provide free entry to a racer (or donate $30 to a charity that you specify), pay for gas, and provide what has been called "the best bike race bag lunch in Oregon".

Please contact me at Scott.goldstein@summitbankonline.com or 541-359-9007 if you are available.

Thanks for your consideration and we will see you hopefully in Sunny Kings Valley on April 9th.

Hello OBRA folks:

Today is the first Saturday in April and that can only mean two things: The Tour of Flanders is tomorrow AND the Second Saturday in April is only one week away, which means that the Nearly World Famous Kings Valley Road Race is coming up fast. A few things to note for this years race:

We have had such a large turnout for our mens' masters field in recent years that we are running separate 40+ and 50+ fields this year. Note that 60+ has a separate 4 deep prize list and will race with the 50+ group.

Our beer sponsor is back with half cases of Hop Valley Brewing beer to the winner of the first lap of most races.

We always are in need of support drivers to make our races as safe and sporting as possible, so if you are racing and have a spouse, friend, or minion who can drive a vehicle for us, you get a free entry and they get their race gas $ covered as well as a tasty lunch. Please contact me @ scott.goldstein@summitbankonline.com

Advance weather forecast for race day calls for typically excellent racing weather...as is the norm for Kings Valley.

Further bulletins as the days progess. See y'all at the race!
