I think a big thanks to Mike and Team Dirt for another great year is in order. What can we expect for early season XC racing? Mud, puddles, hills, and tears? Yes please! Don't worry everyone; the water truck will be around to wet the Sisters Stampede infield - The dry weather is on the way.

What's next for a XC race; snow? That would never happen......See ya'll at Bear Trap!

Results and these will be sorted and posted to OBRA later tonight, so if
you have any spelling changes ect, let us know. Day of handwriting is
always an issue and the officials (Ron and Brian) did a great job overall.
Many thing are changing at Mudslinger Events with a new Chip timing and
online reg open later to accommodate easier data collection.

Special Thanks to the Bend Endurance academy and Camas Freedom riders to
start the 2015 OBRA Junior MTB series...40 juniors is a great start to the
season! Race # 2 of the OBRA Junior Series is at Coast Hills on May 3rd

The race was fast...with a lack of crazy single track for this year with
the ice storm this past November that took out many a trail. Doing the
course backwards meant some 1992 style mudslinger racing with more gravel
roads and a few new sections of singletrack that will be added on over the
course of 2015.

The overall Elite/Expert winners

Great racing and a fast course saw Adam Buckin (Bend Thump Coffee) 1:18:36
outlast Patrick Means Team S & M 1:08 back and in third Sean Babcock at
1:29

For the women Chelsey Magness Bend Oregon (The Yoga Slackers) took home the
win in 1:35 followed 7:25 back was Laura Trace (PDX) Team Oregon and Megan
Faris of PDX (PDX TI/Hub/RCB) in 3rd.

Thanks to Peak Sports, Garmin, Smith Helmets,Deschutes Brewery,Yakima,
Camelback Surley (for the Tires and Big Larry Tire) and especially to
Starker Forests and my family and crew who volunteered or traded for entry!
Big Props to Phillip Trost in his first sport race and (I have your gloves)
Thanks for all the set up work Phillip!

Next Oregon Off Road Series event is Bear Springs Trap with a Great Short
Track the day prior
