i raced a 36 x 16 a couple years ago. It was perfect for everything except the short, super steep section of Peterson Ridge road at about mile 8.5. I lost a lot of time to the other single speeders there and then spent the whole rest of the race trying to catch back up to them. If i did it again i would do a 36 x 17.
