Greetings MPHCTT Participants,

Thank you for racing this event. It looks like a wonderful day for a hill climb. Expect warm temperatures at the summit.

9 Key safety/info notes:

1) Expect to see a lot of Benton County Sheriff. They will ticket you for running the Marys Peak Rd stop sign on the way down. They will likely have someone waiting at that intersection. The descent is ~10 miles, the last few corners are technical. Slow way down and come to a full stop and proceed with caution onto Hwy 34.

2) We are adding traffic control signage to the Quarry intersection (mile post 4, total distance 6mi). There is an organized Quarry shooting range clean up event at that location and we want to add a little more presence there so drivers know to expect bike riders ascending and descending past that location. The event is scheduled between 0900 and 1400. Expect to hear some gun fire at this location. We will have one uncertified corner marshall at that site while riders are on the course.

3) DO NOT CROSS THE YELLOW LINE. At any time of this race, you must be to the left of the yellow line. It's seriously very dangerous.

4) Please stay to the right as much as possible.

5) There is absolutely no shade in the parking area. Please leave the dogs at home.

6) Warm up: Botkin is a quiet street, Hwy 34 to Decker is good, but the best warmup will be achieved on a trainer in the parking lot.

7) The parking lot is off street, slightly uneven, and mowed field grass. On private property with two porta-potties.

8) If your number isn't listed on the start list, we've assigned one for you. Use the one we've assigned.

9) We'll hold podiums at the top. It should be amazing up there so relax.

Thanks again and we're looking forward to an excellent race.
