In 1991 we thought it would be a good idea to hold a Six Day race at Alpenrose. Although modern Six Day races started in America, they had been mostly absent from the US for many years. There were a few sporadic ones, but the last one before we started ours was in East Lansing in 1980. Somehow it was hard to put on Six Days in the US. Here we are now getting ready to put on the 25th consecutive running of the Alpenrose Six Day.
