In Oregon we try to place every rider at every race. It can be challenging.

The officials have started keeping records of the riders with warning due to
incorrect number placement. The rule book allows them to not place riders
who have chronic number problems. Please check your results and if there is
a number warning, correct it.

I always tell riders that the first pin goes in the bottom right part of
the number and should be pinned in the armpit. Then straight down the armpit
panel and straight back. If you are unsure, ask an official. Or ask me and I
will try and send you a picture
