Four year sanction. Presumed guilty without evidence or a trial. He's 49 so that probably kills his chance for the Olympics <sarcasm>. Maybe USADA offers merit badges or stickers for turning in your friends. Or a brown jersey for those that truly exemplify the ADA ideals.

I hate like hell to think that OBRA riders would dope to win. Apparently some do, but I sure don't care for USADA/WADA tactics. Their web pages read like something from the Reagan era. And it frustrates me that our tax dollars go to programs such as this. (From memory I think that WADA gets $10-15M/year in federal funding.) I'd much rather fund bike lanes and street sweepers.

Doping is wrong, and particularly sad at the local race level (and Masters at that) where mostly pride is at stake. My perception is that there's a cultural sea change at the national level with younger riders taking increasing pride in racing clean. That kind of change doesn't stem from punitive measures, it comes from a shift in values, coaching and personal pride in athletic performance. Ultimately nothing will prevent some percentage of cheating, whether that's doping, course cutting, over-generous category ranking, hidden motors - whatever. We can only seek to minimize it. I'd prefer to do that through peer pressure and positive measures rather than the USADA heavy-handed, quasi-governmental (pee in the cup or you're guilty/4 year sanction) approach - at least at the local level.

Yet he has results for every year up to 2016. Looks like he does Baker City, Cascade Classic, and Mt Hood Classic any time they are offered. Randomly choosing to race Pro/1/2 or Masters as he sees fit.

Wonder what OBRA will do, this seems like something that cannot be ignored. 11 races this year that I personally should be voided. IMO
