There has been lots of discussion lately about the lack of road racing in Oregon. Well folks, this is your chance. For 20 years Scott and Cameron have put on a quality event. They put the racers first as it should be, but they also have shown a tremendous amount of respect for the officials and the volunteers, all working together to make this race special. The only thing they did wrong was that they never let me win. I don't have it in me to compete any more, but I will support this race as best I can (follow car this year). I urge all of OBRA to do the same.

It's 2017. There is no excuse as to why all OBRA events are not equal payout. If bicycle racing and OBRA are able to demonstrate true equality, it will be one of our sports best opportunities to continue growing with younger generations. We must get with the times and be leaders on this.

I raced Kings Valley RR last year and I absolutely plan on racing it this
year. The race was well organized and the promoters put in extra work to
make specialized individual envelopes of prize money, with different female

While (un)equal payout is one way of seeing it, I think as the promoters
have outlined above, that it is multifaceted and far from black and white.
As much as I would love for there to be more women in the sport so we could
have equal pay outs and media attention, we just aren't there yet and
attendance has to come before the pay out. Instead of pointing at the
