speak up!

I went to the one last week in SW. I had a toddler with me and wasn't able to have discussions with people, but there were many people camped out for the whole 3 hours explaining to whomever would listen how bad bikes are off roads. No one's going to change their minds, but we need people there to chat with undecided folks about the reality, and hopefully deflect a portion of the negative energy these people bring.

It is critical to speak up now !!! Let's demand at least enough trails for a 2hr ride #25x2020. There is a proposed plan for .8 miles of trail; let it be known that this is NOT acceptable. -- Manville

Or hold your tongue about the lack of off road cycling options in Portland.
The wedge in the door has been placed. Please attend one of these events and write your comments down. Easy...just takes some of your time. You are not on stage with tomatoes flying at you! This one tomorrow will is the one close to Forest Park. You can be sure the naysayers will be there. Positive / pro riding voices / comments will be all the more important. Please find time to comment tomorrow or at some point about your desire for off road riding in our city. They say there is 30 miles of trail in FP for cyclists! Is Lief E. Saltzman or Springville a trail. They look like roads to most of us.
thanks all for caring.
