Updates for my Wenzel Coaching Mountain Bike trail class at Sandy Ridge this Sunday, April 16th! Almost sold out!

Due to a cancellation the Advanced Intermediate class now has one space left, and we have two spots left in the Beginner/Intermediate class. We will be taking day-of registrations but let me know first if possible. Look for my Ford van and the Wenzel Coaching Clinics banner to sign in. I cant wait!

Youll be able to go for a spin on the trails if you are interested, before after class. It may be chilly to start. Fingers crossed for good weather, and the reports are looking good. But we will be riding if it rains.
Bring warm clothing and rain gear, more than what youd normally ride in. And bring clothing to change into when you are done!

Bring water and your food. Ill have extra water but not a whole lot.

I have extra helmets in case you forget yours, no need to turn around but your own helmet may be more comfortable!

For the first part of the clinic, we will be riding to practice our skills but it may not be enough to break a sweat. For the second part of our clinic, we will be riding on the trails, which may be a little muddy in places.
Bring your bike, helmet, gloves, shoes, flat repair kit, etc. Eyewear, knee pads and elbow pads are recommended. Helmets are required at all times while riding! Flat pedals are recommended but use whatever you are happy with. Bring a wrench to lower your saddle for some of the drills if you dont have a dropper post.

Please be ready to ride at class time. For more information see our website

Location Details:
Sandy Ridge, meet in the main parking lot. As always, dont leave valuables in your car. There have been break-ins at trailheads. There are outhouses at the parking lot but no running water. Bring a clean bike, as the BLM is concerned about spreading non-native weeds in the area.

Directions:
Directions to Sandy Ridge Trail System: Drive east from Portland through Sandy. From Hwy 26, approx. 11 miles east of Sandy, turn north on Sleepy Hollow Drive just east of Windells. Look for a brown sign for Sandy Ridge Trailhead, as Sleepy Hollow is a loop that intersects Hwy 26 twice. The turn you want is the second, which is east of the first. After .3 miles, turn right on E. Barlow Trail Road. Look for the large Sandy Ridge sign on the left, in approx. 1 mile. No parking permit is required.

See you out there!
