Sellwood Cycle Repair’s Wooden Shoe Kermesse - May 7, 2017 - MORE UPDATES!

Cross Crusade

2017-05-03

We are just 5 days away from the Wooden Shoe Kermesse on Sunday at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. Come check out the new course for the Cross Crusade!
In order to get you ready for the race (besides dusting off or washing your bike for the first time since December) we want to answer some of your questions:

1. Bike choice:
While it counts as a criterium, the course has a mixture of gravel, farm paths and a field. Road tires will sink in.
We suggest racing on a 'cross, gravel, or mountain bike. They will work better in these conditions.

2. Course map:
Take a look at the course map to help you find the pit, start/finish lines.
The map is posted on our website http://www.crosscrusade.com/wooden-shoe-kermesse/

3. Category clarification for the 75 minute race at 2:45:
The Senior fields and Masters fields in this time slot are open to riders from all categories (including Cat 1/2s) that want to do the longest race.
The masters field age for this time slot will be 35+

4. OBRA license:
You will need to show this at registration. If you don't have one yet, you can get a one-day or annual membership day of race.

5. Race numbers:
You will be issued your race number on Sunday at registration.
Please allow time for this. If you pre-register online, this process will be much faster

If you have questions, please email info@crosscrusade.com. More info can also be found on our race flyer at www.crosscrusade.com
Thanks again, and we hope to see you out this weekend at the beautiful Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm!
