Online registration for the Rally the Valley Omnium, in Eugene/Coburg, closes tomorrow (Friday) at 10pm.

To participate in the morning time trial, (the final event of the 2018 Obra TT Cup series) you must pre-register online! The startlist will be posted here and on www.twilightoperations.com around noon on Saturday. Please check in at registration on Sunday morning to sign a waiver (if you don't already have a waiver on file for the Tuesday Twilight series). You might want to print and bring your waiver along to save a few minutes (www.obra.org/pdfs/waiver.pdf).

You can register for the criterium online (recommended) or on site with cash or check (either in Coburg in the morning or at the crit course starting at 1:45pm until your race starts). You must complete both races to be eligible for omnium prizes (medals for top 3 of each category and cash for top 5 men's 1/2 and women's 1/2/3 categories (100/75/50/35/20)). The winners of each of the eight omnium categories also will be entered in a drawing for a custom stem built for you by Rob English of English Cycles (www.englishcycles.com).

If the top 5 podium of the women's 1/2/3 is not full, the prize money for the unoccupied steps will be awarded to the overall winner. Based on current registration, the women's 1/2/3 omnium winner's prize is $205, not to mention a very cool medal.

Online registration is open for a great day of bicycle racing at the Rally the Valley Omnium in Coburg and Eugene.

Get your OBRA Time Trial Cup points in the morning. Online registration will close on Friday, May 19th at 10am (TT start list will be posted at 6pm); day-of registration will open at 7:45am at the Coburg Elementary School. Please park at the school, and avoid stopping/standing near the emergency vehicle exits at the fire station. The first rider starts at 8:30, and the last category will be Eddy to accommodate riders doing two races (which is recommended, as Paul's Bicycle Way of Life is supplying excellent prizes for the men's and women's Eddy champions).

There are two right turns on the course. The centerline rule applies at all times, including at these corners.

In the afternoon, we move to the famed West First Loop criterium course, where hearts have been broken and heros forged in the fires of competition. (Be aware the high school state championship track meet may cause congestion in campus-area traffic and restaurants; ask your mapping application for directions to Parr Lumber Company.) Registration on site will open at 1pm and the Eugene criterium season begins at 2pm. This is a flat, beginner-friendly course, so bring all your friends. Registration will continue through the start time of each race. Recharge Eugene will be at the course all afternoon with NormaTec recovery aids.

Omnium points (for racers completing the TT course at least once and the criterium) will be awarded in the criterium race categories according to a) criterium finish place, b) best TT finishing time and c) 1 prime lap point per race (TT times will break ties). Top three finishers of each category will receive medals. Category winners will receive passes to the Recharge Eugene recovery lounge and be entered in a drawing for a custom stem designed and built by award-winning frame builder and racing legend Rob English.

See you all there,
Clara (not Sal)
