#crossiscoming! Prepare with Training Plans and Weekly Indoor Sessions

Hey OBRA! Cyclocross is about ten weeks ago, believe it or not. I'm offering threee different ways to get prepped for everybody's favorite season (because that's true, right?) this summer. Usually people don't start thinking about CX fitness until it's late July or August, but a good foundation for performance starts now.

1) Weekly Thursday evening training series at C-Velo Performance Cycling. Located above Sellwood Cycle and Repair, this 12-week series utilizes C-Velo's raft of Wahoo Kickrs. You get to use your own bike, and the classes are designed to sharpen your fitness well in advance of the first races of the season. The series begins Thursday, June 22nd and runs until Thursday, September 7th. Class is held at 6:30 pm each Thursday, and the cost for the series is $219. C-Velo has been helping racers get super-fit since 2012, and even though training indoors in June, July, and August seems counterintuitive, the efficiency derived from really intense, highly focused interval sessions fits really well with the demands of cyclocross. 2) 16-week Training Plans. These training plans are specifically crafted for Portland-area cyclists, culminating in the first weekend of our legendary local series. You get 16 weeks of workouts with everything spelled out for every session; videos explaining the various skills and drills necessary to the sport; and allowances for participating in other weekly series we have around town.
