New LCN Video: Cross on the Mountain

I realize that The Big Show is now underway, but here's an edit from one of the lovely stand-alone races on our calendar. Enjoy as you're getting ready for Day 2 of Cross Crusade:

LCN 009 CROSS ON MOUNTAIN: The Road Not Taken (link below)

It takes 1 hour and 35 minutes to drive from Sellwood to Cooper Spur ski village. What a treat! If you haven't been there, small cottages dot the landscape all clustered around a tavern and restaurant built into the slopes of the mountain. Wide open spaces and intimate single-track (everywhere). I had one thing in mind when I set out, but when I arrived, I immediately thought of “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost and altered my plan to shoot to that poem.

I had a colleague do a few reading of it and I love what has emerged. The Poem is about choices and that it really doesn’t matter which path we choose. We arrive where we are no matter. Anyway …

Not far from Parkdale and Hood River, this small little village is host to Cross on the Mountain - a tragically under represented race that features a ton of single-track flow and technical shred opportunities, a sand-pit and a lot of good-old climbing. This is as beautiful a course as there is and is just ripe for more racers: accommodations, beer, fun, and the potential for a tent city. This is definitely on my list next season to race (not film).

Enjoy! And please Like and Subscribe (it makes me happy when you do).
