Being out of my league with electronica, it took a collapse of the spiritone business to make me get a new address. Trust me. Dot approves of me being so brave! Enough of that.
As many of you know, I love cyclocross because most people can at least ride a bike for 45-60 minutes. But I also love it because the people who put on the races and attend are super supportive of newbies. That alone is enough for me, but each course being a fun challenge is a bonus. Maybe the best thing however is getting to visit with people I have not seen for up to a year or more. I am not perfect at this behavior, but I urge fellow racers and fans to take the time to talk to old friends and encourage the new and often unsure folks giving it a go. It is what we would want....to feel part of something supportive.

Now to the facts. We have already had some monumental races this year (not that I have done well or even been at all of them), but, still, when the Cyclocross Crusade Series begins it is like moving from having your “permit” to race...to your being granted your “license” to race. Even though we have had these fantastic courses to compete on (with even more to come in the other series and independent events), the two days we just completed at Alpenrose ( Thank you Alpenrose Dairy!!!! ) were works of Art with regard to making use of the grounds. If anyone does not agree with me, I am OK with that as any course could be critiqued either direction. These two course allowed people with road power to pull away and those with finesse and quickness to shine. So many of us worked so hard, but I saw many smiles, old friends and new racers........racing bikes in the fall. More to come for us and thanks for reading if you made it this far.
