One More Week Left of Racing on a School Night!

With only one more week of school night cyclocross racing this year it looks like were going to have great conditions once again. Not too hot, not too cold. A chance of light rain to keep the dust down. It should be a great night of racing. No big surprises this year like the BIKETOWN fiasco last year, just some good old cyclocross.

Videos are so much more work than photos but sometimes theyre totally worth it. More from Broken & Coastal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ej9fv_4hCSM&feature=youtu.be

Did you see Jakes photos over at The Wolfsmouth? I love him and his photos.

The standings are updated over at the old obra.org and my biggest question is who is planning on breaking out the speedo tomorrow night? Theres a four point gap for the podium in the mens single speed race and I feel like if youre trying to win this thing that youve got to pull out all the stops.

If you land yourself on the podium or just generally enjoy parties, this Friday we will have exactly that. We will once again celebrate at The Athletic, handing out awards for all of the podium finishers and have a great time with all of our friends.

Location: The Athletic Community 925 NW 19th Ave.
When: Friday, October 13th (Spooky!) from 6pm-9pm

Online registration will be open until 3pm the day of the race. Always available for $18 right here: http://www.portlandtrophycup.com/goods/ There are only a few volunteer spots still open so if you're interested, grab em!: http://www.portlandtrophycup.com/volunteer/

We have a list of amazing sponsors that have helped us from the beginning and Id like to extend a warm thank you to all of them. These folks are who help make all of this possible and so be sure to thank them if you see them, buy their goods and have them over for Thanksgiving this year.

A special thanks to Eric Hagstette and Inhabit Portland for giving our free Junior racing experiment a go. I would love to see more of this at our races so I call on all of you out there to help make it happen.

-The Athletic for providing the motivation for all of this racing.
-Stages Cycling bringing you the Elite Mens podium payout as well as two Dash head units that will be raffled off at the awards party.
-Portland Design Works for sponsoring the Elite Womens race and providing the series payout (equal of course).
-Breadwinner Cycles for sponsoring the holeshot competition. Is it a coincidence that one of their riders has won every week?
-Metropolis Cycles for being there every week to help us with all of those mechanical problems that we forget to fix after the weekend.
-Shimano for giving us the tightest courses possible. I know that some of you (no names) like to run into the tape and stakes but could you imagine if we didnt have it? You all might still be out there lost looking for the race course.
-Rapha is providing prizes for all podium finishers (except beginners) and has been a supporting us from the beginning.

See you all tomorrow and see you all on Friday!
