Nicely done! Half Fast Velo has also been donating to the cause. I believe we are at around $350 already sent and have pledges of several hundred more coming. Keep up the good work!

We lost 30 Puxing PX-777 radios ($50 a piece) in 2 pelican races along
with the wireless mic system (plus what Mike wrote)

Our losses so far amount to $4,000. We still need to conclude an
inventory check but the thieves knew exactly what to take. They used a
plasma torch to cut our lockbox.

I along with Mike are concerned that this was done by someone in our
community.

We'll be watching craigslist and other sites.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Alpenrose thefts

During the CX races at Alpenrose a Honda generator was stolen. On Tuesday
we noted that the key box for the rental bike container at the velodrome
was missing. Later it was noted that the key box for one of the trucks had
been removed, apparently with a cutting torch but the truck was still
locked. Today when the truck arrived in Bend it was noted that there was a
generator and 2 boxes of radios no longer in the truck. Clearly the people
that removed the truck key box have gotten keys at least to the containers
and potentially to all the OBRA storage sites at Alpenrose.

So far the noted losses are:
- Honda generators x2
- Multiple Puxing radios
- Large Pelican cases x 2

These items are labeled/engraved with "OBRA". I suspect that this list may
grow as inventory is done, although this theft represents pretty much all
the high value items that are stored at the Diary. The locks are all being
changed now. A police report is being filed.

A distressing aspect of this loss is that the nature of the thefts makes
it possible that it is someone associated with bike racing and OBRA who
was involved. I would request that everyone keep their eyes open for the
stolen items or let us know any information you might have about this.
