Help with Tubulars

I usually leave the tape on the tire by getting the screw driver under the
tape. Cody does it a little different. Gets screw driver under tape and
then leaves tape on rim. Then he removes tape with a heat gun from the rim
which will take longer but a good idea if you have some sections to clean.
I would be very careful with heat next to carbon though.

All you need to know.

Removal.
Find a section on the opposite side of the wheel next to a spoke that the
base tape is weak deflated. Use a Park tire lever to dig a channel under
the tape to the carbon of the rim on both sides of the spoke hole until you
can pass a screwdriver through to the other side. Put the wheel between
your legs and turn the screw driver as you hold both sides of the
screwdriver pulling it towards you to remove the tire. Ideally you want
most of the glue and base tape to stay with the tire and not the rim. Pick
any large globs of old glue off the rim.

Install. Excellent video on how to install including Beglium tape to
prevent ruts from ripping off your tire.

3M adhesive remover from Napa Auto Parts to clean the rim where you got
glue on and your hands.

Done.
