Hi racers,

Many of you are wondering as to what the 2019 BCCC will be like. No there won't be 7000 ft of climbing on Stage 1. The truth is, we're bringing back the Catherine Creek route for Friday's Stage 1 on June 28th, there will be NO more uphill TT on Friday night and Saturday's stages and Sunday's will remain the same. Registration will open later this year.

On a totally different yet equally important note, Corrine and I are raising money for our restoration of Churchill School which will include a bike/ski hostel. Here's a link to our Indiegogo page. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/churchill-school-restoration-baker-city-oregon#/

Here's why you should consider supporting this project. 10% of all lodging fees from the hostel will go directly to Baker Loves Bikes which runs the BCCC. These funds will help with the race, trail projects and youth cycling development. If you prefer to make your contribution directly through Baker Loves Bikes, 10% of your donation will be used for the things that are part of the BLB mission and all other funds will help with the restoration of Churchill School. The entire project is focused on saving a beautiful part of Baker City history and will tremendously benefit the community where you love to come and race.

If you work for a company the gives matching funds for non-profit donations then even better. Contact me directly for information about donating through Baker Loves Bikes. Thanks in advance for your support of this project and for racing here every year.

We also plan to bring back the spaghetti feed and host it at Churchill on Friday night where we'll give out the leaders jersey's.

Happy training and racing
