Hello OBRA racers,
In case you didn't receive the email I sent out on Friday, here are a couple updates, ahead of tonight's Portland Short Track Series race # 7 and next week's Series Grand Finale:
1) Results & Series Standings:
Results of last Monday's race and the series standings after six races have been posted at: http://www.portlandracing.com/series-standings-2011-07-21.html
Note that the best 7 races (out of 8) will count towards the final series standings, so keep chasing those last sets of points!
2) Mark your Calendars: Monday Aug 1 - Series Grand Finale & "Ultra Short Track" Team Relay!
We're just a week away from our traditional Series Grand Finale and this year, we are turning the ever-popular Ultra Short Track Team Relay into a mini-fundraiser for our friends and MTB advocates at Northwest Trail Alliance, by asking a relay race fee of $30 per team and donating all proceeds to NWTA. The 25 available slots for the team relay race will be awarded on a first-come first-serve basis. More details about the short track grand finale and team relay are posted at http://www.portlandracing.com/short-track-finale-2011.html
3) Queen of the Night and other weekly prize winners!
Erin Goodall, whose name was drawn among the more than 60 women who raced short track last Monday, is the winner of our weekly Queen of the Night trophy, a $50 gift certificate courtesy of our Women's sponsor Bike 'N Hike. Also winning big this week: Brent Misfeldt, our latest Moots Gran Prix winner, whose bike will soon feature a state-of-the-art Moots Cinch Ti seatpost! And yet more lucky racers: Ian Leitheiser, Matthew Cittadini and Isamu Richmond get to make their pick among some very cool Portland Design Works bling. Finally, Erica Fulwider, John Lin, David Saltzberg and Silas Collentine will ride home next Monday with a tasty winning of choice: a 22oz bottle of Hopworks organic beer or a bag of freshly roasted Nossa Familia Coffee.
That's it... see you tonight at PIR!
