St. Honore Bakery in NW Portland is showing the Versus channel cable coverage every day it's shown
I think, including the replays throughout the day. I think they open at 6 am so you can see most of the
live (?) coverage, which is usually about 5:30 am - 8:30 am. Then there is usually a condensed
replay about 9-11 am.
See, for the Versus schedule,
http://www.versus.com/tdf/article/view/758/?ss=tv&tf=Body.tpl

The screen is pretty big and nice, but sound cannot be heard clearly unless it is turned up loud and you
are in a few certain seats.

Lucky Lab isn't showing it this year.
Perhaps Bike Gallery downtown is showing it very early in the morning.
Does anyone know other places showing it?
I thought bikeportland.org was going to post it, but I can't find it.
Thanks,
Marc Rose

Here's the explanation: Some guy in a yellow shirt is about to jump a ditch after running down a grassy slope with a bike he just stole from a little old lady. A good samaritan in a yellow shirt (maybe an OBRA official?) is about to take the guy out with a flying tackle, leaping across the ditch with no regard for his own safety.

Looks to me like Lance is being assisted by an unidentified yet extremely

helpful OBRA official

UCI uniforms for officials are either burgundy or light blue

It's just a coincidence of shirt color. No OBRA official would wear pants

like that. :)

That's why people need to watch the video, rather than make a judgment call

based on a one dimension photo. I watched the video and a replay of it, & my

recollection is that although the official was nearby, Lance did everything on

his own, under his own power, including dismounting his bike when reaching the

ditch, placing it on the road and doing a running mount, cyclocross style.

Other places I've found ....

Mickey Finn's has a nice room with 4 big screen TVs. Last night I was able
