Posting for a friend...

Thanks Jon for the run and for offering to post on

OBRA. Here's what I

would propose for the posting:

When the Spanish colonized Costa Rica, conquerors led

by Juan de Caball?n

took 20 years to cross the land between the Pacific

Ocean and the Caribbean

Sea. Today mountain bikers from all around the world

follow almost the same

paths when they participate in the three day mountain

bike race, LA RUTA DE

LOS CONQUISTADORES.

COSTA RICA is the host of this annual competition that

gathers the best

endurance racers from all over the world. LA RUTA DE

LOS CONQUISTADORES

covers approximately 300 miles in 3 days. Riders go

thru nine of the twelve

different microclimates of Costa Rica, including

through rain forests,

jungles, steaming volcanoes, coastlines, suspended

bridges and deep river

gorges.

The race this year will be held from November 14-16,

2003. I am signed up

and ready to go but am unable to compete, and will be

selling my

transferable entry for a reduced price. If you are

interested in taking

advantage of a substantially reduced entry fee, please

contact me at

tril-@yahoo.com. For more information on the race

please, go to:

www.adventurerace.com.

Note: I'll be out of the country from July 23 -

August 7th and will not be

checking Emails, but will contact any interested

parties when I return.
