Just as an aside. They recently did this to one of my favorite road in
Clackamas county and I was very unhappy about it. I then went on a ride that
traversed this road again a couple of weeks later and they had finished it
off by rolling it out and sealing it, which made the road rideable again and
almost pleasant. I think the graveling may be the first step in redoing the
road without actually repaving it. There is hope even if they mess it up
temporarily.

Also the West side of Germantown road has been oil and graveled, could be a
