This position requires a senior or experienced field or systems engineer to perform technical support and services and also installation of Video on Demand systems for both residential and hotel markets. This includes hardware and software installation, customer communication and training, and extensive customer contact. Tasks are varied and sometimes demanding, requiring problem solving and issue resolution skills. Candidate must be self-motivated, excited by working in a less structured environment, and be able to work individually or lead a technical installation team. Candidate will work with internal engineering integration resources, and technical support, as well as external partners, vendors, and customers. Competitive salary and benefits package.
The Technical Services Engineer will be responsible for supporting a comprehensive list of nCUBE customers in North America mainly and also some overseas customers. The position will require residence in the Portland, OR Metro area. And in order to support customers some travel will be required.
Job Responsibilities
Support integrated Video on Demand systems:
Manage the customer technical issues on a daily basis, providing them with assistance in troubleshooting, training, telephone and on-site issues resolution.
Responsible for the full life cycle of a customer support issue.
Perform duties professionally and efficiently when on a customer headend site and laboratory environment
Interface with the Technical Services Manager on a on-going basis for planning and execution of system deployments, system upgrades, system expansion and implementation of new digital services
Escalate technical issues to the appropriate nCUBE staff technical support and engineering
Manage change across documented installed system configurations
Interface with the nCUBE account and product management for on-going customer requirements
